The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps stroll through the historic Rocks area and Circular Quay or visit the Royal Botanic Gardens or take a walk to the Opera House and watch the world go by as you relax in a cafe along the concourse.

Time to enjoy a stroll along Bondi Beach, before returning to the city. Later we take a luxury cruise on Sydney Harbour which includes a Highlight Lunch on board. There is interesting commentary plus spectacular sights as we cruise by Sydney's prestigious suburbs. Why not take an excursion to the famous Blue Mountains and see some of Australia's native wildlife at Featherdale Wildlife Park? You could ride Adelaide's historic tram from Victoria Square in the city to the beachside suburb of Glenelg. And if you enjoy alfresco dining, try Rundle Street East for dinner tonight. Hotel: Stamford Plaza | | Day 7 | The Ghan | Adelaide - The Ghan : This morning transfer to Keswick Station where you board The Legendary Ghan train and travel in first class comfort in a private sleeping berth on the journey through the outback to Alice Springs. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
The Ghan: Gold Service | | Day 8 | Alice Springs | The Ghan - Alice Springs (2 nights) : Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on board The Ghan before you arrive in Alice Springs for our two-night stay. After disembarking you'll be met at the station and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of this unique outback town including the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Telegraph Station and School of the Air. Later our day ends with panoramic views from Anzac Hill Lookout. (Buffet breakfast)
Hotel: Crowne Plaza | | Day 9 | Alice Springs | West MacDonnell Ranges & Desert Park : Our day begins with a tour of the West MacDonnell Ranges. We'll stop at Simpsons Gap with its lovely red river gum scenery. Continue on to magical Angkerle (Standley Chasm). We'll walk into the Chasm along the stony watercourse lined with cycads, ghost gums, acacias and cypress pines. Then we will travel to Ellery Creek Big Hole before arriving at Ormiston Gorge. We travel on to Glen Helen Gorge, a semi permanent waterhole, for lunch before departing for Alice Springs Desert Park. Explore the desert rivers, sand country and woodland habitats and discover many of the secrets of the Central Australian desert. Visit the Nocturnal House and witness free-flying birds of prey in the Nature Theatre. Afterwards you will be transferred back to Alice Springs. (Buffet breakfast / Lunch) | | Day 10 | Ayers Rock | Alice Springs - Ayers Rock : Travel through the 'Red Centre' from Alice Springs to Ayers Rock Resort, stopping en route at a camel farm. Later we visit the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuua (the Olgas). On arrival at the base of Waipa Gorge we spend some time exploring the area and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. The walking trail through Waipa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuua. In the late afternoon we travel to the Ayers Rock sunset viewing area. Witness and photograph the striking color changes of Ayers Rock while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine. (Buffet breakfast)
Hotel: Desert Gardens Hotel | | Day 11 | Cairns | Ayers Rock - Cairns (3 nights) : Today it's an early start as we head out to view sunrise at Uluou (Ayers Rock). See the Red Centre set alight by the first rays of the sun. Later, enjoy a tour of the base. Visit the Uluou - Kata Tjuua Cultural Centre before boarding your afternoon flight to Cairns. On arrival at Cairns Airport you'll be transferred to your hotel where you'll spend the next three relaxing nights. After check-in the remainder of your day is at leisure. (Buffet breakfast)
